Motorola had launched two of their new handsets in the Indian market,Motorola EX 115 and Motorola EX 128. The most notable thing that comes in relation with these two mobiles are that the Motorola EX115 is a touchscreen mobile device, while the Motorola EX115 comes with a QWERTY keypad.

Some of the notable details regarding this new Motorola EX115 are that it comes with a 2.3-inch screen that offers a QVGA resolution. This new handset, also characterized as a messaging handset is available with a 3-megapixel camera. The memory of this new mobile can be expanded upto 32GB.

The much-anticipated Skype app has been released for Android platforms today, and it may dissappoint some. It took a while, but Skype has now released an application for Android smartphones, enabling users to make free calls to other Skype users and send and receive IMs, one-to-one or with a group.

Available for free download on the Android Marketplace, Skype’s app allows users to make calls to other Skype accounts, or to make calls over Wi-Fi and 3G depending on your geographic location.

APPLE’S App Store houses more than 250,000 iOS apps, and the apps have been downloaded more than 6.5 billion times. However, according to App Store analytics provider Distimo, only 28 per cent of apps on the App Store are free.

But did you know that you can get paid apps for free? There are websites that alert you to free paid apps available on the App Store. Sign up for their notifications, and once you get the alert, download the app if you’re interested.

If you are wondering why these paid apps are available for free, the answer is: Maximum exposure. With so many apps available on the App Store, developers need to find a way to let their apps stand out. Downloads usually increase significantly when a paid app is free. Thus, the app has a chance to reach the top 10 most popular list where it is most visible. This will, in turn, drive up sales for the developers.

The Latest Sony’s PlayStation will based on Android 3.0

Symbian 3 smartphones from Nokia

CELLPHONE maker Nokia on Tuesday unveiled the smartphones its new management team will be using in its fight to win back market share from Apple and Research In Motion. The world’s biggest cellphone maker, Nokia is engaged in a major management revamp, with the departures of its chief executive and chairman announced last week and its top internal candidate for the CEO post resigning on Monday after an outsider was chosen for the job.

A quartet of smartphones running on Nokia’s latest Symbian 3 open-source operating system (OS) took the spotlight at Nokia World 2010 in London on Tuesday. Nokia still controls around 40 per cent of the global smartphone- market volume, but has lost out to Apple and Research In Motion’s BlackBerry in the fatter-margin market for the most expensive cellphone models.
