APPLE’S App Store houses more than 250,000 iOS apps, and the apps have been downloaded more than 6.5 billion times. However, according to App Store analytics provider Distimo, only 28 per cent of apps on the App Store are free.

But did you know that you can get paid apps for free? There are websites that alert you to free paid apps available on the App Store. Sign up for their notifications, and once you get the alert, download the app if you’re interested.

If you are wondering why these paid apps are available for free, the answer is: Maximum exposure. With so many apps available on the App Store, developers need to find a way to let their apps stand out. Downloads usually increase significantly when a paid app is free. Thus, the app has a chance to reach the top 10 most popular list where it is most visible. This will, in turn, drive up sales for the developers.

The Latest Sony’s PlayStation will based on Android 3.0

If you are fans of PlayStation and Android, good news for you. The new product from Sony ( via its partnership with Ericsson ) would be PlayStation Phone which most people would be waiting for. The device is said will be running Gingerbread ( Android 3.0 ) with a phone-specific skin, and there will be a new area of the Android Market specifically for the games.

Recently the PlayStation division from Sony post job to looking for senior engineer which specifically in Android. Seems like Sony is prepare to counter Xbox Live on Windows Phone 7 and Apple’s Game Center with PSN on their own device.

Chinese iPads ready to attract market attention

As expected, China has successfully launched iPads for the global market. The original Apple iPad isn’t yet available worldwide henceforth we are pretty sure that the Chinese versions are going to attract some amount of attention (we are already giving them some publicity by writing about them here!) The best part of these huge looking iPads is that they are just the rough versions. “This is just the first rough version,” Lin said in Cantonese. “While the shape isn’t quite the same, the external appearance is very similar to the iPad, so we don’t think it will affect our sales that much.”
